Bens Spies quickly adapt to his new team at Yamaha Factory Racing in the 2011 MotoGP season, the rider who was nicknamed 'Elbowz' has a unique driving style, to accompany the world champion Jorge Lorenzo to replace the living legend valentoni rossi who migrated to the Ducati team.

Having impressed with his performance in the three wildcard in 2008 when it was still with Suzuki, and in 2009 decided to try Spies World Superbike in 2009, then switch to MotoGP with the Tech 3 team Hervé Poncharal and he scored a second podium in 2010. His achievement was then sign him to join Yamaha Yamaha Factory Racing team.
